Red Peasant International

The Red Peasant International, generally called by its Russian abbreviation Krestintern, was an international peasants organization formed by the Communist International in October 1923. The organization was dissolved in 1939.

The communists competed with agrarian parties for the support of the peasantry in Eastern Europe. The agrarians had organized into the International Agrarian Bureau.

Vietnamese nationalist leader Ho Chi Minh worked on the standing committee of Krestintern in the mid-1920s.
